He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Frank and Kathy Frank; his brother Ted; his brother-in-law Paddy Griffin; and his nephew Cameron Garlick.

He is survived by: his children, Jo-Anne Stone, Richard Shea Frank (Danielle), Kellyn Frank and Ethan Frank (Tessa McCubbing); his granddaughters, Willow and Hazel; his sisters, Christine Garlick-Griffin of Vancouver, BC, Rhetty Frank Friesen (Christopher) of Vancouver, BC and Carol Robicheau (Cecil) of Middleton, NS; his nephew Wendell Robicheau (Julie) of Sherwood Park; and his friend Steven MacDearmid of Fort Saskatchewan. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
