She was predeceased by: her parents, Adelia Dorey and Ernst Dorey; her husband Arno; her siblings, Rosalind and Gordon; and her sons, Kevin and Blair.
She is survived by: her children, Sonja Hansen-Bent (Trevor), Susan Aldred (Jeff), Gary Hunt and Britt Kjelstrup-Hansen. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Donations in memory can be made to the Grand View Manor and the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
