She was predeceased by: her parents, Willoughby Gates and Alice Gates (Crocker); and her siblings, Mary, Margie, Ruthie, Janet, Merril and Fred.
She is survived by: her husband Fred; her children, Allen (Myra), Chris (Martha) of Hamilton, ON and Michelle Whelan (Kerry); her siblings, Penny Gates and Carl Gates (Sue); and her granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Rebecca, Marissa, Brittany and Alyshia.
