It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Hayley of Middle Sackville, Nova Scotia, born in Bonavista, Newfoundland, who passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Hayley and Clara Hayley (Russell); and his siblings, Burt, Rex, Frank, Evelyn and Robert.

He is survived by: his wife Connie (Moore); his children, Kent Hayley (Elaine) of Hammonds Plains, Roxanne Conley (Tim) of Lower Sackville and Candace Hayley of Halifax; his grandchildren, Claire Filliter (Daniel), Adam Hayley (Jenny Blondin), Mitchell Hayley (Jennifer), Reid Warner and Mya Warner; and his great grandchildren, Mikayla, Courtney, Elly Beeswanger, Isabel Filliter, Sloane Hayley, Michael Blondin and Skylar Hayley.
