He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Holmes and Edress Gilcrest; and his brother Jack. He is survived by: his wife Stella (Symes); his children, Sherry Sinclair, Annette Maynard, Brian Holmes (Penn) and Wanda Holmes; his grandchildren, Catherine Sinclair, Sara MacDonald, Juliana Maynard, Christian Maynard, Matthew MacDonald, Konnor Holmes and Johnny Holmes; and his siblings, Jim Holmes, Bruce Holmes, Carole Bates, Lynda Blackburn, Donna Holmes and Gloria Parkin.
