He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gavel and Eva Gavel (Amero); and his siblings, George, Catherine, Gertie, Annie, Margaret and Stella. He is also survived by his companion.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Stella Maris Church (8270 Nova Scotia Trunk 1, Meteghan, NS B0W2J0).
