It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria T. Chiasson (Meteghan, Nova Scotia), born in Belliveau Cove, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 14, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolphe and Delphine; her friend Villa Acadienne; her husband Bernard; and her brothers, Clement, Edouard, Nil, Julien and Joseph.
She is survived by: her sons, Jean-Paul "J. P." (Nicole Handspiker) and Julien (Jacy Lewis); and her granddaughter Ainsley Lewis-Chiasson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
