He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Phelan and Georgina Phelan (Fleming); his wife Dorothy "Dot"; his son Robert; and his siblings, Jack, David, Joyce, Margie and Fran.
He is survived by: his children, Brian (Helen McCullough) and Trish Carde (Fred); his sisters, Theresa Fitzner, Barb Trepanier (Pete) and Gatineau; and his grandchildren, Sam Phelan and Kara.
