It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Joseph Maillet of Mavillette, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 23, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Maillet and Lucie Maillet (Comeau); his stepgrandson Matt; and his siblings, Léo, André, Marguerite, Annette and Catherine.

He is survived by: his wife Yvette; his children, Vincent (Annette), Simone Richardson (Cecil) and Denise Maillet (Alistair); his siblings, Nicholas and Cecilia Burton; his grandchildren, Ryan and Megan; his stepgrandchildren, Marc, Trevor, Amy and Kayleigh; and his great grandchildren, Morgan, Hayden and Lyla.
