He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Gill and Jean Gill; and his sisters, Jane and Judy. He is survived by: his daughters, Emma Densmore (Jeremy) and Lily Bentley (Sean); his grandchildren, Adalynn, Ryleigh and Aubree; his siblings, Alfred (Marion), Allen (Susan) and Mable (Bob); and his brother-in-law Laurie.
