He was predeceased by: his wife Madeline; his parents, Hilda Doig (Longley) and Frederick Doig; and his siblings, Barbara Biggs, Marjorie Toole, Mary Curren, David Doig of Saint John and Jean Miller of Branford, Connecticut..
He is survived by: his great grandchild Betty; his daughter Mary Doig; his son-in-law Peter Redden; his grandchildren, Patrick Redden (Jennifer Smeltzer) and Dr. Krista Ritchie (Jacob); his great grandchildren, Adele, Bettina and Lydia Ritchie; and his sisters-in-law, Myrna Conrad of Kentville and Mildred West of Kentville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
