She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. David Dowse; her parents, Canon Robert L. and Marion R. Stuart (Kennedy); and her brother Robert. She is survived by: her children, Suzanne (Andrew Ager), Martin, Rosalie and Peter (Susan Himmelman); her grandchildren, Clare, Alexa, Madison, David, Sam, Owen, William and Norah; her niece Christine (Neil Barr); her great-nephews, Jeremy and Simon; and her sister-in-law Lotti.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or the Mahone Islands Conservation Association.
