He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfred T. Barry and Stella A. Barry (Oickle); his wife Florence (Veinotte); and his siblings, Phyllis, Pearl, Jean, Shirley, John, Ivan, Ray and George.

He is survived by: his children, Gregory (Judith), Melinda Barrier (Russell), Stephen (Leslee) and Wade (Shelley); his grandchildren, Meghan (Paul), Adam (Emily), Elizabeth (Shawn), Joshua (Robin), Douglas (Alison), Christopher (Megan), David (Jesse) and Jennah (Colin); and his great grandchildren, Augustus, Atticus, Maddox, Asher, Rory and Margot.
