She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Ernst and Mamie Ernst; her spouse Ashton Hyson; her siblings, Clyde Ernst (Jean), Audrey Herbin (Jack) and Lawrence Ernst (Lolly); and her son-in-law David.
She is survived by: her daughter Heather; her brother Chuck (Kathy); her sister-in-law Gerry; her nieces, Michelle (Clarence), Tracy (Will), Tina (Travis), Amanda (late Brenden), Ashley and Susan (John); her great-niece Colleen (Zack); her great-nephews, Evan, Ryan, Brodie, Cameron and Taylor; her cousin Francis; and her grandsons, Inky and Casey. She is also survived by extended family, friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Union Church (181 Indian Point Rd, Mahone Bay, NS B0J2E0).
