He was predeceased by: his parents, Vera Palmer (Fritze) and Lorimer Palmer; his son Arthur; his brother Wendell; his niece Loretta Nelson; and his nephew Gordon Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie (Nelson); his children, Brian (Lisa), Dawn Curry (David) and Chester Basin; his grandchildren, Kayla, Amber Palmer (Taylor), Jenna, Greg (Emma), Liam Curry and Chester Basin; his great grandchild Marcus Mansfield (Chipman Brook); and his siblings, Connie Connors (George), Vic (Trish) of Clifford, ON., Ted and Morristown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Lunenburg or to Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.
