He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Hirtle and Mildred Hirtle (Eisnor); his wife Vivian (Langille); his siblings, Donald, Douglas, Vance, Vernon, Audrey Harlow, Eldon, Calvin and Elizabeth; and his daughters-in-law, Bernadine and Sherri.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher, Andrew (Barbara), Nancy Grandy (James), Judith Wagner (Jeffery), Stonehurst and Mark; his grandchildren, Sabrina, Cory, Candice, Jennifer, Josh, Robin, Jonathan, Kathryn and Leah; his great grandchildren, Tristan, Arrabella, Ciara, Ethan and Jacob; and his sisters, Shirley Richardson, Catherine Wynn and Mona Diggins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First South Cemetery, Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg, Grace Lutheran Church, First South, or to any other charity.
