He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert "Al" Young and Grace Young (Ernst). He is survived by: his close friend Clare Blyth; his brothers, David of Parkdale, Paul of Blockhouse and Michael (Daniel Beaudoin) of Montreal; his aunts, Mary Hubley (Broad Cove), Shirley Goos of Victoria, BC and Margie MacNeil (Bridgewater); and his cousins, Debbie, Linda, Danny, Wayne and Karen.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the ALS Society of Nova Scotia or to a charity of your choice.
