He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Whynacht and Alementa Whynacht (Eisnor); and his siblings, Lawrence, Basil, Leo, Douglas, Frank and Paulette.
He is survived by: his wife Lucinda; his daughter Jackie Hancock (Darren) of Lunenburg; and his grandchildren, Steven and Andrew. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations made to the Children's Wish Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Fishermen's Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
