She was predeceased by: her parents, Hannah Chappelle Enslow (Chappy) and Francis Leo Doherty (Frank); her husband John Patrick Hughes of Fredericton; her son Peter J. Hughes; her son-in-law William Davis; and her siblings, Frances Barry, Louise Lewis, Frank, Therese Doherty, Cecily Cormier, Martin and Michael.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Rita LeBlanc Hughes; her grandchildren, Matthew Hayes (Kristi), Nicholas Hayes (Genevieve), Joseph Hayes (Agnieszka), Michael Hayes (Lindsay), Jennifer Hughes Tucker (Adam), Sarah Hughes Kenny (Nathan), Stephanie Hughes, Natasha Hughes, Naomi Hughes, Katie McVivar (Jonathon), William Davis, James Davis, Peter Davis and Thomas Davis; her stepgranddaughters, Jayna (Brad Clark) and Leeann (Kevin Royle); her great grandchildren, Aida, Reta, Noah Kenny, Mackenzie, Fletcher, Veronica, Hudson Hayes, Logan, Maeve Tucker and John McVicar; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Matt, Jayme Clark, Maverick and Renly Royle.
Although not a victim of the covid virus, she was unable to return to her home in Saint John after what was to have been a brief winter visit.
