He was predeceased by: his parents, James Charles and Robina Beatrice Emily Whynacht (Black); and his brothers, Gregory and Malcolm. He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his sister Susan Whynacht (John Mulley); his stepchildren, Candice Hirtle (Marc Pease), Jennifer Hirtle, England and Josh Hirtle (Katherine Hiltz); his stepgrandson Ethan; his mother-in-law Phyllis Zinck; his nephew Barrett Risser (Melissa); and his niece Tabatha Risser Maxwell (Paul).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada or to a charity of your choice.
