He was predeceased by: his parent William Anderson; his wife Carolyn; and his brother Cyril. He is survived by: his parent Marjorie Anderson (Fanning); his children, Carolyn Jane Langille (Lawrence) of Blue Rocks, James Inlet (Wanda), Jason Inlet (Laura England) and Princes Inlet; his siblings, Marjorie Anderson, Janice Anderson, Eastern Passage, Bill (Angela), Spryfield, Tom (Nina), Canso, Bob (Marta) and Poppy; his grandchildren, Tristan, Charlie, Morgan, Hailey, Savanah, Corey, Josh, Isabelle, Nolan and Carter; his brothers-in-law, Wade Tanner, Blue Rocks, Kevin Tanner and Midville Branch; his close friend Carol Whare; and his children, Selina Whare, Poppy, Patrick, Bailey, Hazen, Joseph, Rhuen and Elsie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
