He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Conrad and Elizabeth Conrad (Walters); and his brother Kenneth. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Terry Conrad (Rose) and Patricia Skidgmore (Ken); his stepchildren, Ann Leslie DeMone of Prince Rupert, BC, Valerie Parker (Donald), Black Rock and Robert DeMone (Vickie); his grandchildren, Sheena (Ron), Sean (Katie), Andrea (Rene) and Jessica (Brett); and the mother of his children Marilyn Ruttan. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and 8 step great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 23, Poppy Fund, Nova Scotia Firefighters Benevolent Fund, Faith Baptist Chapel, Centre or to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.
