She is survived by: her children, Esther Ernst-Pike (Rodger) of Farmville, Claudine Ernst Kuenzle (Kuno) of Blockhouse, Victor Ernst and Vance Ernst; her brother Geoffrey Dauphinee; and her grandchildren, Alyssa Gerhardt, Brittany Gerhardt and Matthew Pike. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.

Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg or to St. John's Anglican Church, Lunenburg. Donations are being accepted for: CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY - SOCIÉTÉ CANADIENNE DU CANCER (CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY - SOCIETE CANADIENNE DU CANCER).

“Sadly,I just learned today of Ella’s passing.She was a lovely neighbour. I had only spoken with her a couple of times due to my health; my husband Brent has had many conversations with Ella over the years(and Russell before he passed). She told him they were “cousins”when they first met! He tried to check on her occasionally during storms and such,even shovelling her driveway with our boys years ago,trying to beat her to it! She was always grateful, but also proud😊Sympathies to her family 💔”
