It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elaine Elizabeth Allen (Lunenburg, Nova Scotia), who passed away on July 21, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Vokey and Annie Vokey (LeLievre); and her husband David. She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Tays (Tom) of Burlington, ON and Laura; her grandchildren, Ryan and Charlotte Tays; her siblings, Karen Gillis (Ronald) of Gananoque, ON, Dr. Yvonne Leblanc (Richard) of Hamilton, ON, Brenda Lewis (Arthur) of Ancaster, ON and Bill Vokey (Michelle) of Sydney, NS; her nieces and nephews, Dennis Gillis, Ernie Gillis, Daniel Leblanc, Mitchell Lewis, Amanda Leblanc, Annette Gillis, Cynthia Vokey and Andrea Vokey; her great-nephew Alec LeBlanc; her great-nieces, Adelyn LeBlanc and Pearl Passerini; her aunt Lavinia Vokey (Beanie); and her uncle Freeman Vokey.

Elaine thoroughly missed these classes during the Covid-19 pandemic but continued to create beautiful masterpieces for family and friends to enjoy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to South Shore Hospice Palliative Care Society, Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada for Research – Elaine's Legacy Leaver Team, Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, or to any other charity.
