He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennett Dares and Letoil Dares (Conrad); his wife Eileen; his son-in-law Bob Rowter; his siblings, Gwen, Truman and Clyde; and his nephew Michael Dares.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Rowter and Louise Wentzell (Frank Dolling) of Sicamous, BC; his grandchildren, Chris Rowter (Tammy), Jacqui Rowter (Mathew Daniels) and Leanna Helm (Brian); his great grandchildren, Brittany Carver, Lucus Daniels, Jordan Rowter and Georgia Helm; his sister Virginia Fraser (Robert); and his sisters-in-law, Helen Dares and Lucille Nowe of Conception Bay, NF. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, the Poppy Fund of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 23, Lunenburg or to a charity of your choice.
