He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest William Sleigh and Gladys Fern Sleigh (Vincent). He is survived by: his son William Michael "Mickey" Sleigh; his sister Kim Weir (Sleigh); his brother-in-law John Weir; and his nieces, Melissa, Rebecca and Jessica.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home Sackville Chapel (125 Sackville Dr, Lower Sackville, NS B4C2R3).
