He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin J. Rafuse and Nellie A. Rafuse (Thorpe); his wife Rozann Rafuse (Miller); and his siblings, Richard Rafuse and Mary Drew (Roland).

He is survived by: his children, Charlotte Rafuse (Brian) and Jacob Rafuse (Emily); and his sister Gloria Keddy (late Theodore).

A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. John Vianney Church (4 Beaver Bank Rd, Lower Sackville, NS B4E1G3).
