He was predeceased by: his parents, Orland Card and Mellicent Card; his wife Una Madge Smith (Smith); his former wife Kathleen Porter (Porter); his son Shawn; his brothers, Lionel, Allan and Churchill; his son-in-law Kevin McKeough; and his siblings-in-law, Donnie Smith, Tony Bruneau, Ralph Smith, Allison Atwell, Charles Allison, Catherine Card, Janet Smith, Kathleen Card (Kay) and Olive Card.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Anne Card, Tanya Card, Lisa Card (Mattew Smith) and Paul Card (Amy Thurlow); his sister Donzella Bruneau-Allison; his sisters-in-law, Judy Atwell, Carroll Card and Sharon Card; and his grandchildren, Crystal, Amanda, Sonya, Mirissa, Isabelle, Owen, Aidan and Abigail. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (125 Sackville Dr, Lower Sackville, NS B4C2R3). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bedford United Church (1200 Bedford Hwy, Bedford, NS B4A1C3).
