He is survived by: his parents, Shawn Currie and Angela Currie; his brother Brett (Heather); his close friends, Steven Mercer, Memė, Pepė, Mary and Venard Boudreau; his grandparents, Anita and Davie Currie; his aunt Cathy Boudreau (Kelly); his cousin Bella Stephens (Seth); his close friends, Sam Meagher and Haley Wiseman; and his family, Hope and Charlie.
A reception was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (125 Sackville Dr, Lower Sackville, NS B4C2R3).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Matt's behalf to Nova Scotia Mental Health and Addictions Services via the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Nova Scotia Division.
