With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Allen Lewis Dorey of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 17, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his significant other Cammie "Flower" (Duckwall-Wall). He is survived by: his brothers, Stephen Dorey (Martha) and Thomas Dorey; his pet Karma; his siblings, Margaret Anne Johnson, Elizabeth Dorey, Robin Dorey (Kathy) and Rebecca Dorey; his son Travis Dorey (Leanne); his stepchildren, Joan MacNeil, Joe Wall (Carolyn Nearing), Katie Wall (Paul Graham), Mandy Markie (Billy Pashkoski) and Tamie Markie; his cousins, Byron Dorey and Barbara; his nieces and nephews, Suzanne Dorey, Stephanie Wells, Andrew Johnson, Erin Steves, Laurie Dorey, Garrett Dorey, Rhys Dorey, Dylan Bednar, Emma Bednar and Thaine Bednar; his grandchildren, Kyla MacNeil (Andre Bourque), Connor MacNeil (Lauren Basden), Aidan MacNeil, Erin MacNeil, Keigan MacNeil (Danielle Charette), Payton MacMillan (Aaron Samson), Isaiah Dorey, Heather Wall (Michah MacLean), Megan Wall, Eric Wall, Mikelle Graham, Brooke-Lynne Davis, Carter Davis, Gemma Solomon and Kelci Markie-Shatford; and his great grandchild Adonis Brooks.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Tk Barnard Funeral Home (85 Sackville Cross Rd, Lower Sackville, NS B4C2M2).
In lieu of flowers, our family requests donations to the Cavalier Drive School breakfast program, Soul's Harbour Rescue Mission, or simply paying forward Al's kindness — smile at strangers, show love and compassion, and make someone's day a little brighter.
