With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Claude Barclay O'Hara (Louisbourg, Nova Scotia), who passed away on August 25, 2019 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman O'Hara and Mary O'Hara (Currie); his former wife Lillian (White); his daughter Diane; his son-in-law Allan MacKay; and his brother Murray.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, Claude (Judy), Wendy MacPhee (Doug), Mary Lynn Crant (Cecil), Shawn (Elaine), Murray Cadet (Laverne), Rebeckah Hassam (Ian) and Tony (Alison); and his siblings, Loretta (White), Minnie (MacDonald) and Harry (Joanne). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Louisbourg and Area food bank, Zion or St. James Presbyterian churches or a charity of one's choice.
