He was predeceased by: his parent Edward Cotter. He is survived by: his parent Edna Cotter (Higby); his siblings, Mike (Brenda) and Cindy Courtney (Brett); and his nieces and nephews, Shauna, Sonya, Stacey, Corby of Dylan, Dalton, Kaitlyn, Emma, Madison, Mark Strange, Kathy Doucette and Mark Peterson.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Lockeport and Area First Responders or the Victorian Order of Nurses.
