It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Gouthro (Little Bras d'Or, Nova Scotia), born in Georges River, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 22, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Robert; her former husbands, George Chiasson and Arnold Gouthro; and her siblings, Ellen Curtis, Tom Hugh, Charlie Hugh and John Hugh.

She is survived by: her aunt Mary "Mae" Isabel Gouthro; her children, Valerie Foote (Frank), Stewiacke, Margaret Chiasson, Bras, Maureen Babin (Earl), Timberlea, Elizabeth Verschuren (Andy), North Sydney, Tom Gouthro (Joan) and Hammonds Plains; her sisters, Georges River and Roberta Paige (Henry); her grandchildren, Darrell, Lindsay, Andrew, Robert, Megan, Renee, Leah and Matthew; and her great grandchildren, Rhys, Kendall, Dana, Kyle, Elaina and Dylan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
