He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Whitman and Betty Whitman (Veinott); and his uncle Gerald Veinott. He is survived by: his wife Sharleen (Height); his daughters, Miranda Gates of Grande Prairie, AB and Crystal Weaver (Evan); his grandchildren, Meghan Gates, Mason Gates and Connor Weaver; his son Alfred Crouse; his brothers-in-law, Bud Height of Nictaux and Kevin Height (Michele) of Nictaux; his parents-in-law, Madelaine and Richard "Dick" Height; his nieces, Katrina Kellough and Jessica Height; his nephew Morgan Height; and his aunt Sadie Veinott.
