He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Henry Burton, Grace Burton, Louis MacDonald and Annie MacDonald; his brother Robert MacDonald; his nephew Wade MacDonald; his brothers-in-law, John MacLaren and Wayne Blynn; and his father-in-law Carl Blynn.

He is survived by: his wife Wendy (Blynn); his children, Bruce (Dee), Kimberly Mailman (Bruce) and Deana Fitzgerald (Scott); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Gregory, Adam, Alex Mailman, Daniel Fitzgerald, Brayden Fitzgerald, Tara (Stewart) and David; his sister Jeanette MacLaren; his mother-in-law Frances Blynn; his sisters-in-law, Judy MacDonald, Cheryl Blynn and Josephine Blynn; and his aunts, Iris McCann, Vera Cosman and Arlene Burton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
