With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Darren Elliott Porter of Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 31, 2024 at the age of 63. He is survived by: his parents, Lois Marie Porter (Gillis) and Thomas John Porter of Lawrencetown; his wife Diane "Peaches" Lee Porter; his daughters, Haley Porter (Kyle), Katelyn Porter (Cade) and Taylor Porter (Megan); his stepchildren, Jacqueline Comeau (Christian) and Scott Comeau (Miranda); his siblings, Amanda Porter and James Porter (Laura); his grandchildren, Abigail, Charlotte, Anna, Amelia, Austin, Caroline, Penelope, Alistair, Maverick, Lyle and Alice; and his parents-in-law, Terry VanTassel and Paulette VanTassel. He is also survived by extended family and lifelong friends.
In Lieu of flowers, donations in Darren's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
