He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Bernard and Marion Bernard (Chisholm); his son John; his grandson David; and his siblings, Adele, Willis, Joseph and George.
He is survived by: his wife Grace; his children, Adele Taylor (Jeff), Marion Bernard-Nauss (Greg), Bruce Bernard, Wilmot, Daniel Paul Bernard (Joanne), Brian Bernard (Franca) of Caledon, ON, Keith Bernard, Michael Bernard (Diane) and Kevin Bernard (Debbie) of Burlington, ON; and his brothers, Richard Bernard, Spryfield, Frank Bernard (Valerie) and James Bernard (Betty). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
