He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Whitman and Laura Whitman (Slauenwhite); his wife Pearlie "Anne" (Furlong); and his siblings, Thelma Calicott, Myrna Whitman, Barbara Roscoe, Sylvia Wood, Geneva Wood, Harland Whitman and Douglas.
He is survived by: his son James; and his siblings, Frank and Laura Gehue. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
