He is survived by: his close friend Wendy Russell; his daughters, Karma Rae Denomme (Lee Kelly) and Lisa Chhabra (Mark); his grandchildren, Gwen, Van, Olive, Mack and Mila; and his sisters, Freda Piercy and Bonnie Hansford (Dartmouth).

Donations to the Red Cross or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 016 Pictou, where he was a member for 43 years.
