He was predeceased by: his parents, Alberto Martins and Palmira Martins (Noronha); and his siblings, Alberto Martins and Palmira Branco. He is survived by: his wife Teresa (Amaral); his children, Rui (Rhonda) and Sandra Giles (Scott); his granddaughters, Sara, Emily, Isabela, Julia, Sofia and Lexi; his siblings, Luisa Marques, Judite Noronha (Jose Maria) and Antonio Martins (Tina); and his siblings-in-law, Fernanda Pegado (Jose Antonio), Judite Martins, Jorge Amaral (Odette) and Antonio Branco. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
