He was predeceased by: his parents, Rankin Johnson and Hilda Johnson; his brothers, John and Robert Johnson; and his grandson Callum Cann.

He is survived by: his brothers, Murray (Ila), Jim (Shirley) and Tom (Mary); the mother of his children Carol Johnson; his children, Robert Morgan, Christina Cann (Bruce), Crystal Power (Brad), Lee Johnson (Roxanne) and Christopher Johnson; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Morgan, Cody (Caitlin), Kayla Power, Jazmin, Savana and Maeson Johnson.
