He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Freeman and Olive Deborah Elliott (Outhouse); his son Marty; and his brother Harland. He is survived by: his wife Norma (Crocker); his son Alex Elliott (Gail Chalmers); his grandchildren, Sonya Frost (Jason), New Edinburgh, Keighley Elliott (Arthur White), Jensen Elliott, Derek Elliott (Alicia) and Woodville; and his great grandchildren, Ashlynn, Brixsen, Audrey and Beau.

A memorial service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Tiverton United Baptist Church (3227 Highway 217, Tiverton, NS). A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
