He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernst Szczerbaniwicz and Catherine Szczerbaniwicz; his brother-in-law Frank; his daughter Janette Bell; his grandsons, Christopher and Jonathan Bell; and his son-in-law Trapper Simmonds.
He is survived by: his significant other Joan; his children, Gary (Jackie), Kim Simmonds and Lori Richmond (Terry); and his adoptive daughter Trudy Simmonds. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
