She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip L. Johnson and Laura M. Johnson (Banks); her husband Richard E. Denton; and her son Matthew. She is survived by: her sons, Troy (Pam) of Moncton, NB and Trevor (Joyce) of Kingston, NS; her grandchildren, Emily, Nathan and Ocean; her great grandchildren, Khloe, Landan, Dominic and Luc; and her sister Susan Balcom (Roy).
Donations in her memory may be made to Mountain Lea Lodge or Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
