It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carman Atwood Townsend of Kingston, Nova Scotia, born in Lockeport, Nova Scotia, who passed away on May 7, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Townsend and Ruby Townsend (Langille); his wife Carolyn (Longley); his son John Townsend; and his brother Thomas.
He is survived by: his daughter Patty Pryde (Allen); his daughter-in-law Sharon Townsend of Moncton, NB; his sister Kathleen Williams; and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Pryde and Erin Pryde. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations in memory may be made to the Melvern Square Baptist Church or a charity of choice.
