She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Richards and Ethel Richards (Hill); her husband William Shorten; her daughter Kathryn Braillard; and her brother Ted Richards.
She is survived by: her daughter Carolyn Anderson; and her sisters, Roberta Clarke, Ottawa and Ont. She is also survived by five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
