We bid farewell to Marcia Louise (Ricketson) Higgins of Kentville, Nova Scotia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 26, 2025. Marcia Louise touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Walter Ricketson and L. Beryl Ricketson (Hayden); her husband Robert "Bob" Higgins; her brother Lewis; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Ricketson.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Poley (Gordon) of Edmonton, Kevin (Lorraine) of Centreville, Darren (John Bailey) of Toronto and J. Paul (Meredith) of Duncans Cove; her granddaughters, Rebecca Moore (Mitch), Raquel Griffin (James), Robin, Rose Poley and Zella Higgins; her stepgrandchildren, Kris Legge (Adam), Joel (Kristi), Ruel (Malori) and Bret Garby; her great grandchildren, Annabelle, Nora, Everly, Piper, Juliette Moore and Guinevere Griffin; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Caitlin, Jared, Morgan Legge, Addisyn, Evan, Amara and Lily Garby; and her siblings, John Ricketson (Diane) and Audrey Wade (John). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the White Family Funeral Home (100 Cornwallis St, Kentville, NS B4N 2E4). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kentville United Baptist Church (503 Main St, Kentville, NS B4N1L4).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marcia's memory may be made to the Kentville United Baptist Church Choir Fund, Brigadoon, or charity of your choice.
