He was predeceased by: his parents, George Seffern and Pauline Seffern (Baker); his stepfather Francis Seffern; his brother Donald Baker; and his daughter-in-law Danielle Baker.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Cheryl Scott; his siblings, Patsy Male, Sheila Bailey (Youngs Cove) and Darrell Baker (New Ross); his children, Steven Baker (Denise) of New Ross, Darin Baker (Granddaughters) of New Ross, Lori Ann (Jason) and Farris (Grandchildren) of Timberlea, NS; and his stepchildren, Linda Scott, Dale Scott, Ann Marie Chalifoux, Cathy Baldwin and Duane Scott. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
