It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janet Ann (Blair) Brownell (Kentville, Nova Scotia), born in Amherst, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 21, 2024, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brother Stephen Blair; her grandparents, Thelma Blacklock (Trenholm), Loretta Blair (Allen), Orville Blacklock and Wallace Blair; and her stepgrandfather Clarence MacBurnie.

She is survived by: her parents, Eileen Blair (Blacklock) and Stewart Blair; her children, Ryan Anthony Stewart Brownell (Matthew Tošaj) and Alisha Lee Ann Brownell (Kort Mehrle); her grandson Axel; her close friend Alan Corkum; and her sisters, Rosalie Blair and Sheri Cameron (Blair).
