She was predeceased by: her husband Augustus Fitzgerald; her parents, Irvil Merry and Luetta Merry; her son Joseph; and her brothers, Jackie and Garnett Merry.

She is survived by: her sons, Brian Fitzgerald (Kim) and Ron Fitzgerald; her sisters, Jean Hill and Sandra Cook (Laddie); and her grandchildren, Kyla Hamilton (Kevin), Nicole Constance (Jamie) and Joseph Fitzgerald. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
